Sweat4Syria 5K Fundraiser

KRM is proud to partner with four community members who created and organized Sweat4Syria.

On Saturday, May 19, participate in the Sweat4Syria charity 5K event at Iroquois Park. Your $20 registration fee will support Kentucky Refugee Ministries and Syrian refugees in our community. All participants are welcome to walk or run, and water will be provided. Their goal is to have at least 500 participants who help raise $10,000.

This event was created and organized by four community members: Zeeshan Bhatti, Hamza Foy, Kirk Kimsey, and Adam Khayat. Thank you for your creativity and passion!

Sweat4Syria is a charity 5K run with the dual intent of bringing the community of Louisville together and raising $10K to aid resettled Syrian refugee families, in cooperation with Kentucky Refugee Ministries. Through solidarity and collective compassion, we can truly add value to the lives of families who have endured unspeakable hardship. With your sweat and love, we will not only aid those in need, but we will also breed a spirit of altruism amongst the runners. We will have food trucks, music, & a post-race event as well. Let’s show the world why Louisville is called the “City of Compassion”.
