As a result of forced displacement and war, homes are lost, and families are forced to leave nearly everything behind. This makes household and personal items crucial needs for arriving refugee families and their new homes. Your donations help them rebuild as they begin their new journey in the U.S.

How you can give

KRM Louisville schedules all drop-offs and pick-ups. Unscheduled drop-offs are not accepted. Please do not leave donated items in or outside the KRM Louisville office building. To schedule a drop-off to the KRM donations warehouse, please click the “Submit a Donation Inquiry” below. If you would like to host a donation drive for collecting household or hygiene items most needed for KRM Louisville clients, please contact Donations Coordinator, Jamilee Vail, at jvail@kyrm.org.

KRM Louisville has launched new Amazon wish lists! These lists allow supporters to easily choose and donate vital items most needed for newly arriving refugee families. These have been organized into several categories, with some items marked as “high priority”. All items are already preset to be delivered directly to KRM – So you do not need to schedule a drop-off or be located in Louisville to donate items from these lists. To view and purchase from the Louisville Amazon wish lists, you may choose from the following links: Household Necessities, Kitchen & Household Aids, Toiletries/Hygiene Items, Home Maintenance, School Supplies and Clothing (wish lists for all KRM office locations can also be found in the Items KRM Accepts sections below).

KRM Lexington has a new warehouse space and accepts scheduled and unscheduled drop-offs of donations there. The warehouse is located at 133 Trade Street, Suite 5, in Lexington. Donations can be dropped off on Tuesdays from 9am-12pm, Thursdays from 1-4pm, and on the first Saturday of every month from 9am-12pm. Drop-offs can also be done by appointment outside of those hours. Large donations can be picked up by appointment. Please contact Donations Coordinator Hunter Phillips at donations@krmlex.org or 859-802-1229 to schedule. Please do not bring donations to the KRM Lexington office on West Sixth Street. KRM Lexington IS currently accepting furniture donations. View our updated Amazon wish lists below!

KRM Northern Kentucky schedules all donation drop-offs of household items. Furniture is not accepted at this time at KRM Northern Kentucky. Transportation Donations

Bicycles (Louisville only)
Bikes can make a vital impact on a refugee’s life, sometimes making the difference in whether or not they can travel to a new job. KRM partners with Beargrass Christian Church’s Pedal Power Project in Louisville, Kentucky, to provide bicycles to refugees. Pedal Power Project accepts used bicycles and can refurbish them when necessary. Bicycles for kids and adults are both welcome! To donate your bicycle, call Beargrass Christian Church at (502) 896-1161.

Vehicles
Your donated vehicle can help a family access after school programs or new employment opportunities. Please note: KRM does not accept any vehicle manufactured more than 15 years ago or that has more than 150,000 miles on the odometer. Learn more in this Vehicle Donation Form.
