This holiday season, there are countless opportunities to give back. Here are a few ways you can make an impact for refugees.
Extend a Warm Welcome: Donate a Coat
If you’re in Louisville, please consider donating a warm coat, hats, gloves, or scarves. Contact Donations Coordinator Melissa Siegel at msiegel@kyrm.org or (502) 479-9180 x 523 to schedule a drop-off time. If you’re in Lexington, we encourage you to give these items to our community center partners GlobalLex. Staff members refer newcomers in Lexington there for coats.
donate toys for a holiday party
Help our youngest Kentuckians feel the joy of the holidays by donating toys. See our KRM Louisville office’s Toy Wish List for ideas. Toys will be collected until December 18th. Contact Donations Coordinator Melissa Siegel at msiegel@kyrm.org or (502) 479-9180 x 523 to schedule a drop-off.
on giving tuesday, join a global movement

rise to the good giving challenge in lexington
Kicking off on Giving Tuesday, the Good Giving Challenge this year features one week of fundraising for Lexington area nonprofits. You can show support for welcome in Lexington by donating to the Good Giving Challenge.
Your gift will be matched 50 cents on the dollar by an anonymous donor. You give $100, and KRM gets $150! All funds given here also count toward our KRM Partners fundraising campaign goal. To participate in Lexington’s Good Giving Challenge, donate between November 27th and December 3rd.
support krm at these events
If you are in Louisville, shop at Just Creations for a community shopping night on Thursday, November 29th, or at the Peace and Goodwill Holiday Bazaar at Douglass Boulevard Christian Church on Saturday, December 1. At the bazaar, you’ll have the opportunity to purchase items from women in the STITCH program.
If you are in Lexington, take a shopping break for lunch at Blaze Pizza at The Summit on November 29th. Show the KRM flyer (available on social media), and Blaze will donate 20% to KRM.
begin the volunteer process
Attend the Volunteer Orientation in December to learn how you can make an impact.
All funds received by December 31st, 2018, help KRM reach a goal of raising $800,000. You can see who has joined us so far this year as KRM Partners. Thank you for all you do to make Kentucky home for refugees.
