KRM works with a growing population of multilingual speakers. To help businesses and to improve language access, we operate a small, local interpreter services program by contracting interpreters to service providers and businesses throughout Kentucky.
Currently, KRM’s interpreter and language services are available in the Louisville and Lexington Metro areas and Northern Kentucky.
With our extensive list of rare and uncommon languages, we are ready to provide experienced and trained interpreters for your on-site interpretation needs. Our reasonable rates make it easy for you to communicate with your customers, clients, or employees with low English proficiency.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Does KRM provide phone interpretation? Written translation?
A: We offer language interpretation in-person, over-the-phone, and video remote, as well as written translations. While we specialize in on-site interpretation, we certainly have interpreters with experience in other areas. Ask us about the specific language you need, and we can help walk through your options.
Q: Where do you offer interpreter services?
A: Interpreters can be provided in Louisville, Lexington, and Northern Kentucky. Our largest pool of interpreters resides in the Louisville area.
Q: Will my meeting be confidential?
A: Interpreters are trained to respect client and service provider confidentiality as part of their training about the National Council for Interpreting in Health Care (NCIHC) National Standards of Practice. We emphasize the importance of anonymity in an appointment and the need to keep every detail private.
Q: Are KRM interpreters certified?
A: As different fields have different requirements for interpreter certification, we do not specialize in any one certification process. If you’re looking for a particular certification, ask us about a particular language, and we can tell you about the interpreters we have and their certifications.
Q: Can I get an interpreter for my appointment tomorrow?
A: We ask that you provide two (2) business days’ notice for an appointment. Still, we have a good track record with last-minute requests from existing customers. Contact us and we’ll do our best.
Q: I am an individual. Can I hire an interpreter?
A: Yes. We now provide interpreters for individuals, but charges must be paid upfront.
