An update on a story featuring Ramez Alnashef

Have you met Ramez Alnashef? He and his family arrived in Louisville, Kentucky, in January 2017.

Almost one year after his arrival, Ramez has now become a Bilingual Associate Instructor at Rutherford Elementary! As part of his introduction to students and parents, he shared some of these facts about himself:

“I am a teacher of Arabic language. I worked in Syria for eight years and then in Turkey for three years. I have a degree in Arabic literature, a certificate in modern teaching methods, a diploma in psychological support from UNICEF, an English language degree from the Higher Institute of Languages in Syria and a degree in computer science.”

“My favorite wisdom: A comfort zone is a beautiful place, but nothing ever grows there.”
