Open House and Film Premiere at KRM Lexington

Join KRM Lexington staff and supporters for an Open House and World Premiere of Lydia’s Story, a new short film by filmmaker Ian Wang. The film features a KRM Lexington case worker who was originally resettled as a refugee by our office in Lexington. Lydia bravely tells the story of how she fled her home in the Democratic Republic of Congo and waited in a refugee camp for many years before coming to Kentucky.
During the event, staff will be available to give tours of our West Sixth Street office and answer questions. With all of the changes to refugee resettlement and federal funding to support refugee integration in the United States, we are dreaming of ways to evolve what we do to meet client needs today, we need your ideas, your time, your financial support, and your hope to chart a path into tomorrow. We hope to see you at our open house so we can dream together.
Doors open: 6pm
Film screenings: 6:30pm and 7:00pm (3 minutes in length)
