Language Cafe: Arabic, French, Somali, and Korean

August 1 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm EDT

Free
KRM and the Office of Immigrant Affairs partner for community Language Café sessions hosted by immigrant-owned coffee shops throughout Louisville. Language Cafes take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:00 – 5:30 PM, through September 12th, 2024.

This free series of sessions offers an excellent opportunity to learn a new language. Participants can explore Spanish, Portuguese, Vietnamese, Arabic, French, Somali or Korean – No prior knowledge of the language required!

Sessions are free and open to the public, but space is limited. To guarantee your seat, we ask that you use this LINK to register. Today’s Language Cafe offers Arabic, French, Somali, and Korean and is held from 4:00 – 5:30 PM at Abol Cafe, located at 102 1/2 Cannons Lane, Louisville, KY 40206.

Language Cafes are made possible by the Citizen Diplomacy Action Fund through the U.S. Department of State and an incredible group of language facilitators. By providing a space for community members to engage and learn more about the languages and cultures across Louisville, this project aims to foster communication, encourage multilingual learning, promote cultural awareness, support immigrant-owned businesses, and build community.

Feel free to come by, learn a new language, have fun and enjoy free snacks!
