DESCRIPTION:JANUARY SESSION UPDATE: THE JANUARY 8TH SESSION WILL BE OFFERED VIRTUALLY (ZOOM) ONLY. We have made the decision to suspend this month’s in-person attendance option due to current road conditions and with regard to everyone’s safety. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope you will all be able to join us on Zoom for the session. The February session will return to the hybrid format (both Zoom and in-person). \nAttend a KRM Louisville Info Session & Volunteer Orientation to learn more about refugees and resettlement in KY or to begin volunteering with KRM! These sessions are offered on the first Wednesday of every month and presented in a hybrid format (options of Zoom or in-person). \nFor those who would like to learn more about refugee resettlement but aren’t ready or able to volunteer at the moment – You’re welcome to join us for the info session in the first segment (approx. 30-45 min.). The info session provides a better understanding of topics\, such as the refugee journey\, newcomers to Louisville\, cultural awareness\, and KRM services for refugee and immigrant clients. \nIf you are applying to volunteer with KRM Louisville\, you will need to attend both segments of the session\, which includes both the info session and volunteer orientation. This orientation will provide more info on the volunteer opportunities currently available\, weekly hours and frequency or duration of each department placement\, volunteer application requirements\, and offer an opportunity to ask questions to KRM staff. \nTo learn more about volunteering at any of the KRM office locations (Louisville\, Lexington\, or Northern KY)\, please visit the Volunteer Page on our website.
