DESCRIPTION:Attend a KRM Louisville Info Session & Volunteer Orientation to learn more about refugees and resettlement in KY or to begin volunteering with KRM! These sessions are offered on the first Thursday of every month (unless otherwise noted) and presented in a hybrid format (options of Zoom or in-person). \nFor those who would like to learn more about refugee resettlement but aren’t ready or able to volunteer at the moment – You’re welcome to join us for the info session in the first segment (approx. 40-45 min.). The info session provides a better understanding of topics\, such as the refugee journey\, newcomers to Louisville\, cultural awareness\, and KRM services for refugee and immigrant clients. \nIf you are applying to volunteer with KRM Louisville\, you will need to attend both segments of the session\, which includes both the info session and volunteer orientation. This orientation will provide more info on the volunteer opportunities currently available\, weekly hours and frequency or duration of each department placement\, volunteer application requirements\, and offer an opportunity to ask questions to KRM staff. \nTo learn more about volunteering at any of the KRM office locations (Louisville\, Lexington\, or Northern KY)\, please visit the Volunteer Page on our website. REGISTER HERE to attend an Info Session & Volunteer Orientation.
