DESCRIPTION:Join KRM and Louisville Free Public Libraries (LFPL) for the 2025 installment of our partnership event series\, Celebrating Our Neighborhood. Saturday\, August 23rd\, we explore cuisine and culture! \nPLEASE NOTE: Registration is currently full. Join the waitlist HERE\, and you will be notified by LFPL when a spot opens! \nNow in its third year\, this series showcases the artistic and cultural traditions of refugee and immigrant communities throughout  Louisville at LFPL locations in a diversity of neighborhoods across the city.  \nPast installments have highlighted the arts and culture of Cuba (2023) and Iraq (2024). For this annual series\, artists and professionals from the featured community showcase their artistry\, customs\, skill and knowledge across three different events in July\, August and September.  \nThis year\, Celebrating Our Neighborhood focuses on the arts and culture of Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and will feature members of the Congolese American community.
